The Made to be Mobile Story
To become an Exercise Physiologist was an easy decision, especially after working with a beautiful lady named Thelma. Thelma attended a centre I worked at twice a week and was riddled with arthritis. She moved very slowly and cautiously and had difficulty performing most of her daily activities. I was chatting to Thelma one day and she said she was very excited. After coming to the centre for 3 months, she was now able to bend down and close the dishwasher by herself again. It was just one small part of her day for which she no longer had to ask for help. Wow! What a difference just a small amount of exercise could make.
I started Made to be Mobile in Griffith in 2013. The aim was to provide the residents of Griffith and the surrounding areas an exercise physiology service that had never before been available. After working out of the local physiotherapy clinic, and then one of the local gyms, I was finally able to open my own clinic, giving me the freedom to offer a wider range of services.
At Made to be Mobile, you are encouraged to take control of your journey. You become the main driver of the improvement in your health or rehabilitation, armed of course, with the tools provided by us!

"Being an Exercise Physiologist means that I can make a real difference in people's lives. I can help make their days easier, more enjoyable. They can live longer"
Kate completed a Bachelor of Sport Science at UNSW and then spent a few (OK quite a few) years travelling before returning to uni to complete a Masters in Applied Science (Exercise for Rehabilitation) at VU. She worked in the Pilbara for a few years before moving to Griffith with her family.
Being a lifelong learner, Kate then returned to university and completed a Professional Certificate in Pain Science, allowing her move towards specialising in treating chronic and persistent pain.
